MIDDLE SCHOOL
PORTFOLIO
I enjoy teaching middle school students because they are discovering their artistic voice and are eager to experiment, solve creative challenges, and express their unique perspectives. I create a supportive, well-structured studio environment where students feel safe taking creative risks, engaging in thoughtful critique, and developing both technical skills and confidence as emerging artists. By balancing high expectations with humor, empathy, and meaningful relationships, I inspire adolescents to embrace the creative process, persevere through challenges, and recognize the value of their own ideas and artistic growth.
Here is a collection of photos featuring middle school students and their projects. Further down, you will find examples of lessons.
