Differentiated Learning
Station Rotations & Flexible Layouts
Physical layouts are often structured to support varying levels of independence. Teachers set up studio clusters or small-group instruction tables. This lets advanced students work autonomously at collaborative tables, while students requiring more support gather at a teacher-led direct step-by-step guidance
Visual Scaffolding & Tiered Assessments
Differentiation is also in the curriculum content and assessment design. I deploy choice boards to allow variable entries to a theme, or use tiered skill worksheets.
Media Choices
Offer alternative art materials based on sensory needs or fine motor skill levels (e.g., pre-cut paper or thick-grip brushes for early elementary students; precision tools for high schoolers).
