I believe every student is an artist with the capacity to think creatively, solve problems, and communicate ideas through the visual arts. My goal is to cultivate a welcoming, inclusive studio environment where students feel safe to explore, take creative risks, and develop confidence in their artistic voice.

My curriculum is grounded in the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Frameworks and emphasizes creative inquiry, technical skill development, critical thinking, and meaningful reflection. Through hands-on, process-oriented learning, students investigate a variety of media, techniques, artistic traditions, and contemporary practices while building visual literacy and an appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.

I differentiate instruction to meet the strengths, interests, and learning needs of every student by providing scaffolds, visual supports, structured choice, and multiple pathways for success. I believe authentic learning occurs when students engage in meaningful artistic problem-solving, collaborate respectfully, participate in thoughtful critique, and reflect on their creative growth.
