The Artist

Empowering Students Through Creative Expression

I am an award-winning professional artist and Massachusetts-licensed K–12 art educator with a lifelong passion for creating and teaching art. My work has been exhibited in juried shows throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and I have been honored with a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. In my own studio, I work across painting, mixed media, and sculpture, including clay and wood, continually exploring new materials, techniques, and ideas. I regularly take courses and pursue professional learning to expand my artistic knowledge and strengthen my skills, because I believe great art educators should remain curious, growing artists themselves. My active studio practice directly informs my teaching, allowing me to share authentic experiences with experimentation, creative problem-solving, craftsmanship, and artistic risk-taking. Most importantly, I believe every student is an artist and that every child deserves the opportunity to discover their own creative voice. I am passionate about creating an art room where students feel capable, inspired, and excited to make meaningful art while developing the skills, confidence, and creative thinking that will serve them far beyond the classroom.
